Miner killed by collapsed rock in Magadan region

PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY, November 7 (Itar-Tass) — A miner died as rock collapsed in the Goltsovy mine in the Magadan region last midnight, a source at the Far Eastern regional emergency situations department told Itar-Tass on Sunday.

In all, there were eight people inside the mine at the accident moment. One died, and seven reached the surface unaided. Their condition is satisfactory.

Mining is suspended, and the accident is being scrutinized.
