Coal mine accident kills six in central China

CHANGSHA, Nov. 22 (Xinhua) — Six people were killed in a coal mine accident in central China’s Hunan Province Sunday morning, local authorities said. The accident happened at about 10 a.m. at Guojiawan Coal Mine, a private mine in Chenxi County, Huaihua City. Two miners were saved, a provincial work safety supervision bureau official said. The number of miners working underground when the accident happened is yet to be known. The cause of the accident is being investigated.
