1 miner killed, 9 injured in Ukraine explosion
One miner has been killed and non injured by an explosion of gas-air mixture which occurred on February 6 at 10:52 p.m. in Dzerzhynsk, Donetsk region at 1,160 metres level in Pivnichna [Northern] Mine, Dzerzhynskvuhillia state-owned enterprise, reads a statement made by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The miner died while being carried to a hospital.
Nine miners with burns of various degrees of severity have been delivered to the department of surgery of the Dzerzhynsk central district hospital.
In all 136 were working in the mine, they managed to get out onto the ground without assistance.
The mine operations are suspended, they are finding out reasons and circumstances of the blast
