Miner killed in Philippines

A MINER was killed in an explosion inside a mining site the other day in Camarines Norte.

The victim who died on the spot was identified as Sonny Ruwales, a small-scale gold panner.

Reports reaching Camp Crame showed the incident occurred at a mining site in Bgy. Palanas, Paracale, Camarines Norte.

Investigators said the victim was busy panning for gold when the dynamite exploded in front of him.

Authorities are now conducting follow-up investigation to the incident.
